Miguel Montalban is a virtuoso guitarist and composer based in London, UK. It’s been called “One of the greatest young guitarists around” (Zack Wilde), ranting over 30M views on YouTube and with over 100.000 followers on Social Media. He was introduced by Rod Stewart and
recognised as a “Totally Excellent Musician” by Mark Knopfler. His band “Miguel Montalban & the Southern Vultures” have been considered rising stars in the virtuoso Blues and Rock music sphere and, over the past year, have headlined festivals and gigs around Europe to crowds of thousands, sharing the stage with Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, The Daisy Daisies), Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders, Thin Lizzy, The Almighty), Texas, Chris Farlowe, Donovan to name a few.
Montalban has worked with producers like Kevin Metcalfe (Queen, David Bowie, Duran Duran, White Stripes) for Red Bull Music Studios and major (Sony) Production with Mike Hedges and Haydn Bendall recording for Vincent Niclo’s song ADAGIO, also collaborated with producer Andy Whitmore (14 Top-10 UK Hits Peter Andre and Atomic Kitten, Elton John and Terence Trent D’Arby). In 2021 launched “And The Southern Vultures”, turning into a southern rock vibe with vintage tones, great blues/rock kicking off with “Fell In Love” and then “Wander”.
The band has headlined “Giants Of Rock” and “The Greatest British Rock & Blues” among hundreds of other national and international festivals. The band has currently has launched a Double-Album this month and is on tour selling out shows in the U.K.
